Villa Dorado PH is located on the quieter, and much sought after, north side of Sayulita. Immediately outside the gates you'll find amazing dining options like Tropical House and Pizza Venezia. A short stroll north, be sure to check out Chaman Creative Kitchen for breakfast or live music at dinnner. To the right and around the corner on Miramar, you are presented with a multidue of options. North Side Cafe has an excellent breakfast. Taqueria Los Reyes, is one of the finest family taco joints in Sayulita. For a more upscale experience, try Carbon Sayulita, or Casa Lvnae. I spent one of the days alternating between private sunbathing on the rooftop terrace and ocean swims since the beach was literally footsteps from the door. I started ocean swimming first thing in the morning when the beaches were nearly empty and the location made this so easy to do.
The nearby restaurants and food stands gave easy access to everything I could want. A quick stop at Terrenal on my way into town also gave me some organic provisions for the well-stocked, easily usable kitchen.
In terms of noise, it is more lively than other north end spots I’ve stayed (live music across the street) but things did quiet down by 10 or 11 and with doors and windows shut for sleep, I had no issues and I am on the sensitive side with sounds at night. A person could easily sleep with fans on and windows open if that was their thing.
I found the place as a whole to be very tranquil while still feeling connected to life around me… happening at times, peaceful overall, and not too remote. It is predominantly filled with families with children, but I felt welcomed being there solo.
The staff was helpful with any requests and booking process and communications with Eric were easy.
In all, I loved it and was so glad I made the choice.
